Club History
Arden Crescent Calisthenics Club (ACCC), originally known as Arden Crescent Rosanna Uniting Church Calisthenics Club (ACRUCCC), was founded in 1956 with the goal of providing Calisthenics opportunities to the local community. The club began with a single coach, Ms. Vivienne Gannon, until 1996, when the coaching team began to grow.
Throughout the years, the Club trained in the main hall of the Arden Crescent Uniting Church, maintaining a strong and valued connection with the church community.
In 2025, following the closure of the Uniting Church, the club found a new home at Open House in Macleod. While the location has changed, the Club chose to keep the name Arden Crescent Calisthenics Club to honour our history and the strong legacy of the club’s beginnings. As the Club continues to grow, this move marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter.
ACCC is a warm, inclusive, and family-friendly club, welcoming members from 3 years of age through to adults. We offer a supportive environment where members can learn the skills of Calisthenics, build confidence, improve coordination, flexibility, and posture, and experience the joy of working as a team. Most importantly, our club fosters lifelong friendships and a strong sense of community among its members.

Our Mission
In conjunction with the Rosanna Uniting Church, Arden Crescent Rosanna Uniting Church Calisthenics Club (ACRUCCC) aims to provide the opportunity for members (from 3 years of age) to work together in the team sport of calisthenics.

Our Vision
Arden Crescent Calisthenics Club aims to give all members the opportunity for enjoyment as they learn new skills and contribute to their individual teams and we are committed to providing a safe and friendly environment for our members. Our club differs from other clubs in that coaches ensure work set for teams recognise individual differences and abilities rather than aiming for a competitive standard that may be beyond some members. Our club promotes the Calisthenics Victoria motto of “calisthenics is for everyone” which allows the highest rate of participation in teams within our club and ensures that all members are included in as many items as appropriate. We value and respect the volunteers who assist in the general running of our club and encourage parent/member participation in all areas of club management.
